Christmas 2008

Well this was the first of two we had at our house. We had one with just us on the 25th, then we had one the next day when my in-laws came into town.We had fun opening up gifts. James didn't quite get it yet. He will next year for sure.Here are some pictures I took. I will post pictures again soon. I took 300 pictures in the last few days( it is crazy I know).so as soon as I get time to go edit them I will post them:)

Merry Christmas

Merry Christmas Everyone! Here is a picture of the yard done up this year.I LOVE that moose in the middle of the yard. I promise I will post pictures sometime next week with James opening up his gifts this year.

Things are looking up

Finally for a change things are better around here. The car is fixed and my laptop is FINALLY up and working. After "google" for hours on end troubleshooting . I had to erase the hard drive and start all over. James teeth have all crowned already so we all are sleeping through the night. Now we are all getting over a bug that we had.

It's Been a Crazy Couple of Weeks

To say the least, in the last few weeks we found out that James is deploying very soon, James wrecked our ONLY car, and my laptop quit.So things have been nuts around here.The car will be fixed on Friday, no one was hurt. On the same night my laptop just went a black screen. Hopefully it will be fixed soon too.To top everything off, Little James is getting SIX teeth at once. Also sleeping through the night hasn't been great either. Hopefully thing will get better soon:)

Superbaby!

A very good friend of mine told me a couple of years ago about a tradition that she has had every year at Christmas since her kids have been born. She gets each of them a Hallmark Keepsake Ornament for Christmas to go out on the tree. So when they move away from home , they already have 18 of them to start with. I thought " What a great idea!" I took it:)

Here is the ornament that I got for James this year.I bought it back in Oct. One of my friends son, calls James that sometimes. So I thought of Cameron .Last year was James' first Christmas. My in laws wanted to buy it last year to hang on their tree since we were in Ohio last year.So this year as soon as I saw them in the store I bought it. I almost didn't put it on the tree this year. I wanted to not open it and save it for him. But when I was gone James put it on the tree.

Can not play those again

Over the last few days we have learned of two songs that you cant put on James's playlist for when he is sleeping. James has to have some kind of noise, rather it is the t.v. playing or the radio on. He NEEDS it. Little James will let you know if it isn't on. If you have ever been in the car him you know all about it.We have a list of songs on Windows Media Player that we play when he is taking a nap or down for the night.Well for the last couple of days EVERY TIME " These Are My People"- By Rodney Atkins and " All Summer Long"- By Kid Rock will play , Little James will sit up and bop his head back and forth to the music.I caught him doing to few days ago at nap time on the video monitor. I thought it was a random funny thing he was doing until last night at around 9:30 pm when he did it again.So James removed them from his playlist this morning before work. At least, Little James has taste in good music

Teething Bites!

Sorry I am a little late. Since Thursday, things have been crazy here:) Little James ended up with a temp. of 102 off and on for Thursday and Friday. He is getting 3 of his 4 molars. We had to cancel most of our plans for this weekend because he was not happy not all. Saturday night he woke up in the middle of the night screaming his head off because his teeth hurt so bad. So Sunday was really rough. On Monday he was better. At least the teeth are crowning now, so hopefully the worse is over. But one good thing came out of this weekend, I saw my good friend Twila that I haven't seen in awhile TWICE.

Elmo Live

We got James the Elmo Live for Christmas. I LOVE him! I almost want him for myself. I wanted to get him when he first came out because I guess he is suppose to be one of the biggest toys this year. So when he first came out in Oct,we looked everywhere for him. One of my friends,Misty was even looking for him. That is how much I wanted him. I never found him at Wal-mart. James found him at the BX (people that know this BX,know what a shock that was) of all places on his way on get diapers. He called me and told me "that Elmo you are looking for is here" .So he bought him, good thing he did. I can't find Elmo at any of the stores now.Sorry for the stock picture.James already wrapped all of Little James stuff for Christmas before I got the picture.

Morning Nap? or Afternoon Nap?

I wish that he would make up his mind. I know that he is only 15 months old. For the last couple of weeks, I have been playing around with James napping schedule. First of all James is a great sleeper. He has slept in his crib through the night since his was 4 months old. James has always took a really good 2 hour nap in the morning then maybe a 1-2 hour nap in the afternoon. Well two weeks ago he gave up that afternoon nap. Didn't want anything to do with it. He still took a really good nap in the morning. So I talked to one of my good friends, she thought maybe he is going down to one nap. So she thought I should try to get him to give up the morning nap and give him a good afternoon nap. Well I tried that. It works for a couple of days REALLY well. He took a three hour nap in the afternoon. I LOVED it. Well I think that backfired, he only slept 1-half hour nap that last couple of days. The morning is really hard for him to stay awake. Yesterday he fell asleep eating lunch! I think I am going back to the morning nap for awhile still. Maybe he is a morning napper?

Halloween Night

James did really good. At first, he didn't know what was going on. James would take him up the walkway to someone house. Someone would give him the candy in his cute Elmo bucket. Then Little James would just stare at him as to say" Look I am very cute, more candy please." He didn't catch on at first to go down the driveway to another house for more. After the first street he got the idea. Before the end of the night he was running down the driveway onto other houses.


I was worried a bit about some jerk scaring him. But no one did. A couple of people took the mask off when he came to the door. At one house, a lady was outside handing out candy on her porch. In her driveway up against the house was her trash can.After we got the candy.We found out someone was in the can waiting to scare the pants off of someone.

We didn't stay out long it was raining off and on a little. We was three houses from our house, when he broke down and sat on the ground crying. Sorry on pictures of that:) It was time for bed.

My Monkey

For Halloween this year we dressed him up as a monkey.I call James "my little Monkey" As soon as I saw it I HAD to buy it:) I took these pictures a few days before Halloween. For the week before Halloween, I put it on him for a couple of minutes each day to get used to wearing it and not taking the hood off!

Bound to Happen..

James got his first cold. It was going to happen sooner or later. I just wish it was MUCH later. We are both sick with a cold. James ( daddy) don't have it at all, which it weird. He got it from being out on Friday night trick-or-treating. It was damp and raining a little. Hopefully I will post pictures in a couple of days:) You wouldn't know that he was sick. He is playing and getting into everything, like little boys do.

Pumpkin Patch

A couple of weeks ago, we took James to the Pumpkin Patch for the first time. I wanted to wait until he was old enough to pick out his first pumpkin. It is too cute:) Just his size. He held onto for dear life.

He loved sitting and pushing the wagon arould so James and him could pick out some more pumpkin. He loved getting dirty( which drove me nuts) but that is what boys do:)

Our yard this year

Here is what our yard looks for Halloween this year. Yes the pumpkin is really that big, we didn't know it was that big until we put it up and it took up almost half the yard. We kind of went crazy with everything this year, but this is James first year going Trick-or Treating

The Sippy Cup

Every so often we get a package from my in-laws ( James's dad and step mom) with things they bought for Little James .It never fails, we always get something in the package that makes us think WHAT?!? This is it was, the sippy cup. Sorry the picture isn't the greatest, but you get the idea:)You are probably thinking why is the sippy cup a big deal.

Well if are from Ohio or Michigan you understand. If not every year arould Thanksgiving, Ohio State plays Michigan. It is a VERY big deal in our house. James is really not too much of a football fan but he hates Ohio St.There is two games year he watches this one and the Super Bowl. When we found out that we was having a boy, one of things James told his Dad that his child WILL not wear Ohio St colors for the game. So he dad saw this at a truck spot and bought it to drive James nuts with it. It Worked!!

Ft. Point

A few weeks ago we went to Ft Point. James heard about it from someone at work. It is under the Golden Gate Bridge. It is free, you only need to pay to get over the bridge. If you in the area, you should go check it out

Now I am done sounding like a travel agent. We had a lot of fun. James did really good the whole trip.The weather was great for SF. We spent most the morning there. Can you tell when James had enough of the trip?

First Haircut

Well James got his first haircut this past weekend. It didn't go as planned, he did really good sitting by himself in the chair.As soon as Eric ( who cut his hair) started spraying his head with the water bottle, James got so upset. He wanted out of the chair NOW! So we didn't get a style cut or any pictures because James wasn't having any of it. But I did keep the first cut off his hair.

We have a WALKER

James started walking a week ago on Daddy's Birthday. Now he is walking everywere and is on the move.Our little boy is growing up too fast.
